Inception Micro Angel Fund - IMAF: Charlotte
North Carolina's IMAF Family of Seed Stage Funds effectively targets technology-based companies at their earliest stage of funding. The investment program coupled with extensive mentoring, counseling and education assists in guiding the company through successful development while positioning them to attract additional funding from larger angel and/or venture capital groups such as IMAF Source Capital.

North Carolina Biotechnology Center
The NCBC offers small loans designed to leverage additional investments and to bridge funding gaps in a small company's development. The Biotechnology Center also invests small amounts of money in venture capital funds devoted to bioscience investment.
Wed3
A regionally focused group of investors and representatives of investment corporations. Selected applicants have the opportunity to present their presentations to a Wed3 regular membership meeting. Through this process, Wed3 hopes to match young companies and interested investors.

Self Help Credit Union
Self-Help, a nonprofit community-development lender, is funded by Charlotte's Small Business Enterprise Loan Fund. up to 85% of the borrowed amount. The program is available to small businesses in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Union, Rowan, Anson and Lincoln counties. Eligibility criteria include holding a valid business license, U.S. citizenship and being within certain revenue and net-worth standards.
SBTDC: Capital Opportunities Report
The SBTDC's Capital Opportunity Report provides entreprenuers with a resource for all stages of business development. From a description of the current economic outlook to the various forms of financing available to small business owners, the report outlines important lending information.
Centralina Development Corporation
The CDC is an SBA affiliated lender and provides services to Cabarrus, Rowan, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Stanly, Union, Lincoln and Gaston counties. Their website provides company history, a description of services, a detailed check-list for applying for loans and an outline of eligibility and requirements. A local calender of events, meeting information and information requests are also available on the CDC website.
