February 16 - All Applications are Due
March 2 - Five Ventures Semi-Finals at Ben Craig Center
March 8-12 - Coaches Assigned to Finalists
April 13 - Five Ventures® Finals at UNC Charlotte
To date, Five Ventures® has serviced over 60 startup companies which have secured over $40M in angel and VC investments.
For some of you this may be your first introduction to the Five Ventures® Competition. We attract startups from the entire Southeast region to compete in "5" sectors. This is a FREE competition by which entrepreneurs from the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Energy, Green Tech, IT, SaaS, Retail, Service, Student and Non-Profit sectors participate. Our goal is to match the 15 most promising startups with coaches/mentors in order to improve their business plans, sales/marketing strategies and overall execution. Finalists will compete at UNC Charlotte on April 13, 2010 in a one day "pitch" competition for cash prizes and in-kind services. Over $100,000 in cash and services are distributed to the entrepreneurs.
This is the premier program in the region that unites all of our high-growth sectors into one event. If you are interested in serving as a coach, mentor, judge, sponsor or competitor please let us know. Over 125 professionals participate in such capacity which is what makes this competition so unique, fun and effective.
